Previous Gigs

17th July 2011, Aldeburgh Jazz Weekend

What a jazz-packed weekend! The range of jazz was incredibly diverse, from the Latin sounds of Nick Smart, to the classic Small Group Jazz of Bobby Wellins, to the vibrance of Horn Factory and the youthful talent of Trinity. Every act was extremely high quality and the bacon butties were a hit! Look out for next year's Jazz Weekend!

11th June 2001, The Pumphouse, Aldeburgh

This event was part of the 64th Aldeburgh Festival. Jazz is regularly played at The Pumphouse, but we could have been the largest ensemble they have ever hosted..... it was a squeeze, and it was LOUD but it was also a really good gig and we enjoyed it.

30th January 2010 - Fisher Theatre, Bungay

This gig was a great success - we debut'd three new numbers, all of which went down very well with the appreciative crowd. We enjoyed playing here.

5th December 2009 - BBC Children in Need Carol Concert, Snape Maltings Concert Hall

This was the seventh BBC Children in Need Carol Concert to take place in Suffolk, many thanks to Rachel Sloane, who has organised each one. We were very pleased to be invited to play at this event, which sold out. The concert itself went extremely well, and the diversity of styles and interpretations of music, as well as the humorous and thoughtful readings from the BBC Suffolk radio presenters, meant there was never a dull moment. Horn Factory accompanied audience carols, as well as playing three jazzy takes on traditional Christmas tunes. The carols were arranged by Bob, Rob and Emma. You'll be able to hear highlights from the concert on Christmas Day 2009, if you tune into BBC Radio Suffolk (103.9 FM / 104.6 FM in Suffolk) or by going to their website and listening via the web.

4th October, 2009 - Big Band Special, Milestones Jazz Club, Lowestoft

A first appearance for us at this popular Jazz Club. The venue was full, the band sounded great and the music was much appreciated by all! View Milestones Jazz Club's website here.

18th July 2009 - The Big Jazz Gig, Jubilee Hall, Aldeburgh

This gig was a huge success, we sold out! The acts were fantastic, and everyone enjoyed the night. We raised over £500 for Rhythm Troupe, a Ugandan children's charity. Thanks to everyone who performed and attended.

5th July 2009 - Music in the Park, Ipswich

One of the central music events in Ipswich. We blew the crowd away with Hot Jazz!

20th June 2009 - Loraine Hall, Bramford (Ipswich)

This gig was in aid of the Manna Community Project in Kenya, specifically, the Kajiado Children's Home. Other acts appearing at the event were Phoenix and Acafella. Here's a short excerpt of the letter we received from David Rushbrook, the UK Administrator for MCP:

On behalf of the charity Manna Community Project of Kenya, I would like to thank you all very much for the way your band put on such a lively, interesting and enjoyable performance. ... The evening was a great success; the amount taken so far for the medical centre at Kajiado is £1500 and still coming in.
