Horn Factory are delighted to return to St Peter’s by the Waterfront on Friday 1st May 2026 for another evening of high energy contemporary big band jazz. After a fantastic visit last year, we are thrilled to be back in one of Ipswich’s most distinctive and atmospheric live music venues.

Since 1998, Horn Factory has been bringing together 18 of the top musicians from across the region to create our own brand of fast moving, hard hitting, toe tapping contemporary jazz. With a line-up packed with outstanding soloists and a full big band sound, we perform music by writers including Buddy Rich, Bob Mintzer, Sammy Nestico and Gordon Goodwin, alongside fresh arrangements inspired by artists such as Pat Metheny, Chick Corea and Horace Silver.

St Peter’s by the Waterfront

St Peter’s by the Waterfront is the perfect setting for music like this. Housed in a remarkable historic church that now serves as an arts and heritage centre, it offers a concert experience that feels both intimate and grand. The building’s character gives performances a warmth and clarity that make it a real joy to play in, while audience reviews have praised the venue’s excellent acoustics and special atmosphere. It is a space where every section hit, every solo line and every full-band crescendo can really bloom.

Doors open at 7pm and the performance starts at 7:30pm. Advance tickets are £16.15 and are available now.
